Xfm ScotlandPaul N'Jie is Scotland's foremost urban music authority, flying the flag for urban music, R&B and hip hop across the country. He presents the weekly radio show Urban X on Xfm Scotland and hosts regular club nights across the country together with his Explicit Licks Street Team

 Broadcasting every Friday night 1-3am on Xfm Scotland, Paul's Urban X show shines like a beacon in Scotland's radio schedules. Serving up the best in R&B, hip hop and soul, with regular appearances from the cream of the urban music field, the show is essential listening. 

The R'n'B don of Scotland

Recent guests on Paul's Urban X show include Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse, Ciara, Ice Cube, Ciara, Knaye West, 50 Cent, Roll Deep, Nelly Furtado, Nathan and many more.

Paul's reputation has earned him the privilege of playing at some of the finest events to grace the Scottish clubbing calendar, including the MTV Base Fifth Birthday party and six MTV Lick Parties

Scotland's king of urban

As a well-respected DJ Paul is often asked to provide DJ slots supporting some of the biggest names in the industry. 

In 2004 Paul opened for D12 at their huge SECC gig, while more recently he supported Corrine Bailey Rae at the Arches and DJ'd with Grand Master Flash at his first show in Scotland. 

The R'n'B ambassador

Paul has played in all the major clubs across Scotland, packing nights in The Warehouse back in the day, and took on resident duties at the unforgettable Tuesday nights at Trash. He also presented outside radio broadcasts Blanket, The Tunnel and Trash in Glasgow, and Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh. Ever the urban pioneer, Paul put on the first hip-hop/R&B nights for under-eighteens called No Parental Advisory.

MTV BasePaul is an established urban music pioneer in Scotland - Urban Beat on Beat 106 (now Xfm Scotland) was Scotland's first urban music show with Paul at the helm. 

His commitment to the music and his love for entertaining a crowd has meant he is recognised as the leading urban music man in Scotland. 

In addition to that he's also performed with many of the scene's greatest DJs, including Grand Master Flash, Trevor Nelson, The Dreem Teem, Jazzie B, DJ Dodge, Hanif, DJ Swerve, DJ Swing, Tim Westwood and many more.

The face of black music in Scotland

Paul's ability to DJ and chat on the mic while out clubbing enhances the party vibe wherever he goes. In addition his personality and flare when DJing mean that many of his contemporaries are often left behind.
